Description
NICE VINTAGE framed 13 x 17 inch Silk Painting of the Tragic Japanese Warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune, (1159-1189), whose many exploits both real and legendary are recounted numerous stories, theatre, and pictorial depictions. This painting is in excellent condition for its age. I purchased it from an estate auction of elderly painting collectors. Was told that it was found in the attic of their home. It is very bright and colorful. I have included a picture of the artist signature. In research thru Indiana University Art Museum, found it to be very collectible. Need more pictures? Please email me. My wife and I are relocating and are liquidating a lot of our collectibles as we need to clean out. I have had this painting for years and just need to let someone else enjoy it.
